Summary:
The Event Marketing Manager (EMM) is the company leader for all marketing events and manages the annual social events calendar, to include planning, staffing, budgeting, successful event execution, and measuring ROI.
The EMM will work with the Social Media Director to promote, cover, and recap company events on our social media platforms.
The EMM will foster a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive workplace with free-flowing information. The EMM will listen and ask questions while remaining mindful of tone and body language. The EMM will participate in ongoing DEI training to improve these skills, celebrate diverse perspectives, and ensure equitable access to resources.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Organize the annual social events calendar with critical details and logistics for each major event.
- Lead the planning and execution for all Grand Openings and Anniversary Parties.
- Coordinate post-renovation celebrations and similar celebratory events unveiling new equipment & amenities.
- Plan Penthouse Member Events for Memorial Day, Pride, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Summer Solstice, and Labor Day.
- Lead the Penthouse Member Social Committee each season and document initiatives prior to the start of the season.
- Coordinate and lead the annual Pride celebration, including a full series of events and sponsorships for 2025 World Pride in DC.
- Coordinate all Cultural Heritage Celebrations to ensure a consistent, on brand experience at each location.
- Work with the VP of Salons and Spas to plan quarterly Aura spa and Bang Salon Open Houses at each location.
- Evolve Member Appreciation Day (MAD) from a primarily lead generation/referral event to an actual driver of exceptional member experience.
- Work with the VP of Membership Sales to evolve the playbook for Residential Prospecting Events.
- Identify sponsorship opportunities at community events that provide lead generation or similar ROI.
- Manage and oversee the annual VIDA Thrive 5K and other charitable events.
- Track the biggest spenders from each UAC brand. Plan VIP events to thank them for their loyalty and recognize their status. Identify ways to tastefully inform all UAC clients of these opportunities to increase brand loyalty.
- Attend networking events with local Chambers of Commerce.
- Submit a proposed budget for each event including advertising spend with local publications, media outlets, and social media influencers.
- Create a run-of-show document for each event and lead a team member training session for everyone providing logistical support.
- Conduct a pre-event walkthrough the day before each event to finalize details and make any last-minute changes.
- Set primary and secondary goals for each event to measure ROI.
- Select appropriate music, entertainment, and food & beverage for each event to enhance the attendee experience.
- Build relationships with local vendors such as caterers, performers, entertainers, and party equipment rentals.
- Mobilize team members to work at events and help promote our brands.
- Draft a Monthly Events email to send out to the entire UAC database.
- Identify branded swag items and other giveaways for use at events.
- Respond to all Penthouse private event inquiries within 24 hours. Book events and serve as the primary point of contact to ensure each member’s event exceeds expectations.
- Work with the Fitness Program Director to book private event classes and fitness challenges.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop seasonal collateral and campaigns promoting private events.
- Schedule site tours with private event prospects to see our venues in person. Maintain a lead database and proactively reach out to promote private events.
- Plan networking events for local event planners, meeting planners, and HR professionals to feature our venues and create awareness of our private event options.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
