The mission of Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC) is to help build individual, family, and community health, well-being, prosperity, and equity. HYC serves clients and community members with trauma-informed, strength-based, person-centered prevention, early intervention, education, and treatment services.

BACKGROUND
EMS Corps is a 5-month EMT training program for adults aged 18-26 who may have barriers to employment, including under-resourced public systems, insecure housing, racism and justice system involvement. In addition to EMT training, participants shall receive a monthly stipend, wrap around support, mentorship, career guidance and potential job placement after program completion.

POSITION OVERVIEW: LOCAL PROGRAM Manager
The Program Manager will oversee and ensure the success of the local EMS Corps site according to key performance metrics, provide administrative and programmatic support and work within a team comprised of direct staff and contractors. The ideal candidate is experienced and effective in connecting with and supporting young people from the community and should be highly motivated, effective in communicating, leading and collaborating with partners.

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in Health Administration, Business or Public Administration, or a related field.

Experience connecting with and supporting young people who have had to navigate challenges including insecure housing and system involvement.
- Familiarity with the challenges and barriers faced by the young people EMS Corps will serve.

Knowledge of the local community and resources and partners relevant to the young people EMS Corps seeks to serve.

Excellent communications skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of stakeholders and participants.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
