Front Desk Coordinator Job Summary:
The Front Office Coordinator oversees the administrative duties of the front desk. You will be responsible for coordinating all front desk procedures, from pulling the correct patient files to insurance information. Interaction and collaboration with our back-office personnel and helping in the back office when needed.
Work Schedule: 2 days/week, Tuesday and Thursday
Medical Front Desk Coordinator Duties, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Prepare patient charts for Clinic: Ensure all prior recommendations are complete, obtain all prior records before the day of the appointment, coordinate referrals, verify insurance benefits, calculating co-pays, deductibles and inquire on previous balances.
- Type correspondence, reports, and memo’s in patients’ files
- Make appointment reminder calls, texts, and emails. Screen calls, arranges appointments and referrals
- Reschedule missing appointments
- Check daily voicemails
- Scan all provider dictations into patient files
- Scan records into patient charts, upload into electronic charts
- Track and report internal numbers to Director of Clinical Operations
- Maintain inventory and submit front office supply orders to administration
- Oversee front desk personnel
- Communicate effectively with other departments
- Facilitate Surgery process (Consent Forms)
Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry
Decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
High degree of professionalism
Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills in a fast paced, timeline-oriented environment
Education and Experience:
High School Graduate (Bachelor’s Preferred)
Minimum 2 years’ medical office experience with some managerial background preferred
Exemplary commitment to providing excellent patient and customer experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, EMR Systems, computer software and internet proficiency
Great verbal and written communicator with excellent social skills and a strong desire to help others obtain better health
License/Certifications: CMAA or similar certification is Preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
