Job Purpose
This role will achieve operational excellence/order fulfillment for the servicing of the customers in conjunction with the Architectural and Residential Sales Team.
The Project Manager will drive results by supporting the sales team with accurate quotes, coordination with purchasing and logistics to meet the performance standards related to the expectations of the customer and project demands. The result will enhance Reading Rock brand loyalty.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Sales Team, purchasing, logistics and operations to ensure quotes, product pricing and deliveries are scheduled within protocol. Prioritizing and meeting timelines.
- Grow key accounts/influencers by being customer focused and responding to timelines.
- Assist in face-to-face customer meetings as needed to build a support relationship.
- Develop significant proficiency including computer order, quoting, and shipping accuracy, locations and knowledge of customer pricing, product knowledge and sample ordering.
- Provide teamwork including consistent communications with sales team to determine, timing, product change and completion of projects.
- Be a resource for the Sales Team on actions needed to run the business.
- Work collaboratively with the Purchasing, Vendors, Production, Logistics and Operations to evaluate best processes to fulfill orders to meet corporate and customer objectives within policies.
- Update CRM data if needed.
- Ability to do minor estimates (takeoffs).
- Review inventory to make sure products have shipped and billed.
- Watch account balances to stay connected with any failures in payment or credit limits being reached. Assist with credits for returned materials, billing errors, etc..
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years customer focused skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organizational skills and organize tasks.
- Proficient in excel and developing relationships with team members.
- Demonstrated experience initiating the ability to move products through stages from consultive, quoting, quoting through to successful fulfillment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple demands concurrently.
- Ability to read and understand architectural plan sets.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to build trust and do what you say you are going to do.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, translate and communicate complex issues in an organized approach. Ability to find an answer.
- Excellent time management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of the construction administration and submittal/approval process
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products and CRM systems.
- Experience with INFOR a plus.
- Willingness to answer emails or phone calls outside of normal business hours.
