Maintenance Technician
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Supervise and train junior maintenance staff.
- Fabricate or repair parts as needed.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with staff and tenants.
- Leadership abilities to supervise and train junior maintenance staff.
- Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for record keeping.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Experience in fabricating or repairing parts.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of facilities and equipment through routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs. Strong leadership skills are essential for supervising junior maintenance staff. Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is necessary for maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance. Additionally, the ability to fabricate or repair parts is highly desirable.
