```Duties```
- Assist in the preparation of food items for cooking or serving
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as stirring sauces, grilling meats, and baking desserts
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
```Experience```
- Proven experience as a prep cook in a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members
