How you will make an impact:
Reporting remotely to the Head of Technical support in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and supporting the on-site General Production Manager:
● Ensure all production equipment is functioning properly
● Respond to production line stoppages
● Resolve equipment malfunctions
● Complete maintenance of equipment
● Assemble and install new equipment
● Keep track of inventory and order/return parts from/to suppliers as needed
● Share best practices to team of technical specialists and operators
● Work with the Montreal technical support team to resolve high level malfunctions
● Capture and record work procedures and troubleshooting procedures as needed
● Collaborate continuously with other production team members
Knowledge and skills required
● An Associate's degree with work experience
● You have 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (electrical/electronics work is
an asset)
● Excellent communication skills in English
● Competent technical knowledge
● Ability to multitask
● Attention to detail
● A proactive approach to support
● Reliable, resourceful, autonomous and adaptable
● Amazing dexterity
● At ease with technology
● Experience with cloud based tools such as google suite (strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software)
● Experience with Augmented Reality (AR) an asset (but we can teach you!)
The candidate for this position must be able and available to travel to Montreal, QC, Canada for training for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
The candidate will work 3 months on day shift then 3 months on night shift. Switching every 3 months ($1 Shift differential for night shift)
