Job description
Co-Occurring (substance abuse and mental health) treatment facility is seeking a Therapist. This position will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to adult clients and their families, including individual, group and family therapy. In collaboration with treatment team staff, the Therapist ensures quality of care provided to clients in treatment according to client's needs and level of care.
Our 12-step based treatment center provides quality, cost-effective treatment to individuals with addiction and/or Behavioral Health issues. We assist our clients in building a strong foundation in recovery and offer hope and healing through our lifelong commitment of support.
General Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage a caseload of clients, based upon experience.
- Conduct Bio/Psycho/Social assessments, diagnoses and formulate treatment plans.
- Complete and assist clients in aftercare and discharge planning.
- Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, family and/or couples therapy to clients and their families.
- Communicates with parents and other approved family members, as appropriate, to encourage and facilitate family involvement and education. Keep family members informed of aftercare planning and scheduled changes in care levels. Be available to answer questions and to direct family members to appropriate staff or services, as needed.
- Provide case management services as needed, including referrals to necessary outside resources when needed.
- Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the facility, as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets facility and licensing and accreditation standards.
- Share responsibility for on-call consultation and crisis intervention
- Attend team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure quality care for clients.
- Attend staff development and general staff meetings.
- Abide by code of ethics and model values.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
- Facilitate groups in accordance with the program schedule
Minimum Education/Experience: Required: Licensed therapists:
- Current license (AZ) to practice independently or as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LISAC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or current associate license (AZ)
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to maintain accurate chart records and documentation
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Ability to provide health and TB clearance. Ability to pass background check.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
Desired:
- Experience in addiction and co-occurring
- Experience running therapy groups.
- Experience working with adults, couples and families who struggle with addiction.
- Knowledge of the 12 Steps
