Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and messages from patients regarding appointments and general questions.
- Provide compassionate assistance, understanding patient needs, and ensuring a positive customer service experience.
- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Assist healthcare providers and medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and processing paperwork.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to analyze patients needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
- Prior experience in customer service is desirable
