Position Description
The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for achieving sales and achieving revenue potential of the community by attracting qualified prospects and converting those prospects into Community Residents.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- Addressing inquiries from potential residents and their families, providing information, and answering questions.
- Organizing and conducting tours of the senior living community for prospective residents and their families.
- Working towards achieving sales goals by successfully closing deals with prospective residents.
- Regularly reviewing strategies for closing deals with prospects who are in the sales pipeline.
- Ensuring that the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is effectively used for tracking and managing sales activities and interactions.
- Providing and supporting Sales Assistants with necessary information to assist with the move-in process for new residents, including paperwork and resident requests.
- Collaborating with the sales team and participating in scheduled sales calls or meetings.
- Guiding potential residents through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to move-in.
- Engages in community outreach activities to generate qualified referrals for the senior living community.
- Strives to meet specific goals related to move-ins, inquiries, tours, phone calls, and other sales and marketing activities.
- Collaborating with Leadership to work closely with the Director’s and other department heads to create a positive atmosphere for residents and associates.
- Provides exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, maintaining professionalism in all situations.
- Communicates effectively with residents, families, professionals, visitors, and colleagues.
- Helps foster a sales-oriented culture within the community and participates in sales and marketing efforts, including events.
- Assists the Director and leadership in training, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining team members as needed.
- Completes departmental reports accurately and on time.
- Collaborates with other department heads to emphasize the role of the entire team in sales.
- Attends and actively participates in various meetings, including company-hosted webinars and training sessions.
- Completes required training to maintain relevant certifications and credentials.
- Participates in the Manager-on-Duty program, which may involve weekend coverage on a rotating basis.
- Performs any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the employer.
Qualifications
- Sales/marketing experience with a proven track record.
- Outstanding customer service and public relations skills.
- Creative, energetic, enthusiastic, patient, flexible, encouraging and team-oriented personality.
- Desire to serve residents, families, and team members.
- Creative approach to achieving goals.
- Promotes the community in a positive manner and effectively communicates with residents, families, professionals, and visitors.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and other marketing-related software.
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
