As a Content Writer, you will undertake the pivotal task of creating educational resources based on our curriculum tailored for students in grades 3 through 8, specializing in English Language Arts (ELA) or Mathematics. Your responsibilities will encompass adapting or creating materials for both print and digital platforms, encompassing a diverse array of resources such as slide decks, worksheets, and interactive content.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating curriculum aligned ELA or Math materials for teachers and students such as do nows, vocabulary lessons, grammar lessons, student activities, and exit tickets.
Produce accurate, error-free, high-quality content that meets standards and aligned to established guidelines and samples
Adhering to established workflows and consistently meeting predetermined deadlines.
Fostering collaborative relationships across the team to ensure project schedules and product goals are met.
Demonstrate effective organizational and excellent time management skills, productive, efficient work habits, and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and flexibly to rapidly changing priorities and demands
Requirements:
At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school ELA and/or Math
Experience using Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) or Eurkea Math/Engage NY Math is a plus
Proficiency in utilizing various computer software, particularly Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational skills, with a propensity for hitting deadlines while managing multiple projects.
Exemplary lesson planning and student-centered lesson design
Strong understanding of Common Core Standards and ensuring lessons, instruction, and activities are aligned to standards
Exemplary attention to detail and design standards
Receptive to feedback and quick to learn and implement changes
This is a 1099 contracted position with an hourly rate of $30/hour, with an anticipated contract end date between 3/1/25 and 9/1/25. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
