We are a well established solo practice Ob/Gyn office. We are seeking a highly intelligent, friendly, detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist with Medical Assistant skills, and with a flexible schedule (some evenings) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical setting, possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Work hours: Mon,Tues,Thurs: 10AM to approx 8PM. Wed,Fri: 10AM to approx 3PM
**Duties include:**
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Verify patient information and insurance detail
- Collect copayments, deductibles and all balances
- Prepare paper medical chart, print office forms
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- File charts, sort mail and faxes, prepare medical records, disability and WIC forms
- Basic billing, including patient balance account receivable management
- Interview patients to update the history, obtain vital signs and record it in the paper chart
- Phlebotomy and urinalysis
- Assist in procedures, such as sonograms, colposcopies, biopsies, and IUD placements
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Order supplies, restock and prepare the exam rooms
- Call patients to give test results and instruction after the doctor has reviewed them
- Certification in Phlebotomy, or as a Medical Assistant is required
