We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant!
Being a Payroll Assistant requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion. The role of a Payroll Assistant is to support the payroll processes in making sure employees are paid accurately and on time across the United States. Responsible for precise data entry while working with a team to meet tight deadlines as well as providing excellent customer service to employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
- Maintain employee records including tax and other relevant information
- Enter and verify accuracy of employee data, prepare reports and process tracking documents
- Conduct bi-weekly audits
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding their pay and taxes (i.e. direct deposit changes, W-2 inquiries, etc.)
- Perform clerical duties such as filing and posting mail
- Request documents from internal and external departments
- Create UPS shipments
- Deposit payments to accounts receivable
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Comply with state and federal regulations regarding payroll law
Requirements:
- Data entry
- Experience working in an office setting
- Previous software experience a plus (i.e. Microsoft Suite, UKG, Outlook)
- Preferred working knowledge of payroll law.
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Self-motivated
- Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to prioritize
- Reliable / dependable
- Good attendance record

Compensation: Full- Time $21.00 to $22.00 per hour DOE
