The Project/Process Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by using troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques with the overall objective of improving plant efficiencies. This individual will be required to develop, recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. The incumbent will display a commitment to Core Values.
This position will be based in Ashland OH – but would have responsibilities to support all RPI sites as needed. Primary support would be Ashland, OH and Corsicana, TX.
We believe the successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-5 years of related experience.
- Strong computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:
- Work as part of the AZEK team to continually improve standards of operation.
- Responsible for running trials to validate new material/formulations.
- Integrates Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement in all projects.
- Responsible for leading various project related to continuous improvement of equipment and processes within the manufacturing area.
- Responsible for monitoring operational efficiency metrics (ie. through put, scrap rates, etc.) in order to recommend changes and/or corrective actions to continue to meet operational goals.
- Evaluate the performance of existing process.
- Provides training to production and maintenance staff as required.
- Inspect incoming tooling for conformance to specifications.
- Set-up new or re-furbished tooling and perform the function of balancing and adjustment to enable the process to meet required specifications.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all tooling assets and their productive status.
- Perform internal and where required arrange external refurbishment of tooling.
- Assist in the original specification of tooling requirements for new products and processes.
- Work with tooling and equipment vendors to troubleshoot process and tooling problems.
- Assist with and where required to lead new project development activity.
- Assist in the set-up of new equipment and processes.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $79,000 in our lowest market up to $96,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
