Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Glulam Structural Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in structural engineering, particularly with glulam and other timber structures. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the construction of high-profile projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of glulam structures, including beams, columns, arches, and trusses.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop innovative and efficient structural solutions.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, and construction documents.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in timber engineering and building codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on glulam and timber structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and best practices related to timber construction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
