Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision of the Sales Director, Americas, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise to customers including working with customers to install, maintain, and repair purchased products, including dispensing machines, or services.. This role will interface directly with customers to install and setup machines, as well as assist with the startup of fluid dispensing processes. Additionally, tasks for this role include post-sales support and the training of customers and staff on how to program, setup an application, and troubleshoot dispensing machines.
Current Pay Range: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 annually
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs Mycronic products on customer premises, at company facility, and via telephone

Installs new machines
- Assists customers with machine setup and fluid dispensing process

Trains customers and staff on system software and application setup as required
- Offers support via phone, email and/or video conference
- Provides post-sales process and system support

Attends trade shows to demonstrate systems

Travels within the US and Canada as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field required

Two to three years of related technical support and/or direct experience with fluid dispensing systems preferred

Industry-specific experience and familiarity with industry product preferred

Ability to read and use electrical schematics for troubleshooting

Experience with electrical tools (i.e. multi-meter), components and testing for functionality

Mechanically inclined for fixing/updating machines in the field; including use of basic tools (allen wrenches, pliers, etc.)

Adept and effective communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally, and be away from home for one week (up to two weeks on rare occasions, and possible travel over the weekend)

Ability to speak Spanish or Chinese is a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Standard office environment. Significant computer work should be expected.
Travel Requirements: Moderate domestic and international travel is expected, 50-70%.
