Job Description:
MEI has a job opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead to be an integral member of our Commissioning team. The scope of projects will include the commissioning of mechanical systems for data centers of varying sizes, capacities, and locations. This role will be highly collaborative amongst MEI staff, clients, contractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
Job Duties:
- Development of mechanical scripts, test procedures, MOPs, and checklists for mechanical infrastructure systems
- Compilation of mechanical commissioning plans
- Execute test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation meets design specifications
- Perform equipment inspections to ensure integrity of installation and submittal requirements
- Attend and participate in factory acceptance testing as required
- Develop daily reports and issues log to overall commissioning manager
- Participate in weekly commissioning meetings with customer, vendors, contractors and other commissioning teams
- Weekly preparation and distribution of meeting minutes and exhibits
- Assist with vendor coordination and management
- Utilize effective management skills and communication to deliver results
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Mechanical Commissioning experience with mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, other 4-year degrees considered.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities and executing commissioning projects through all stages.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
