Job Opportunity: Client Executive 1 - Culinary Operations
Location: NYC Health + Hospital's Culinary Center, Brooklyn, NY
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic individual with expertise in culinary arts, manufacturing, and facilities management to oversee all culinary production for NYC Health + Hospital's Culinary Center. The successful candidate will work closely with 3 managers and oversee a team of approximately 98 union employees.
Responsibilities:
- Culinary Operations Oversight:
- Manage food production for over 14 facilities, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to execute menus and maintain quality.
- Implement efficient manufacturing processes adhering to regulatory standards.
- Facilities Management:
- Oversee kitchen facilities, equipment, and storage areas.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for operational efficiency and safety compliance.
- Optimize facility layout and workflow.
- Client Interaction and Future Planning:
- Act as the primary contact for client interaction and improvement opportunities.
- Plan future projects and expansions with clients.
- Develop strategies to enhance service offerings.
- Financial Management:
- Ensure prudent resource allocation and meticulous budget management.
- Implement cost-saving measures to optimize financial performance.
- Union Employee Management:
- Foster positive labor relations and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Address employee concerns fairly and equitably.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale food manufacturing and production.
- Proven experience in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Strong culinary background with expertise in menu development and food service operations.
- Expertise in facilities management, including knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety regulations.
- Experience managing a unionized workforce.
- Strong financial acumen with budget management experience.
- Excellent client interaction skills with a strong relationship-building track record.
- Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
