Machine Operator – Ring Coil, Livonia, MI.
Brief Description
Desired candidate can keep coiling equipment running at standard speed rates with minimal adjustment. Training plan will include learning and full understanding of the machine operation (CNC and/or Mechanical) including all its tooling. Candidates will receive basic training in blueprint reading, symbology and instructional guides to successfully operate one or more ring coilers using a variety of steel.

Skills:
- Versatile in various wire sizes
- Analytical and Mechanical Aptitude
- Knowledge of raw materials and the production processes
- Understanding of Stress Relieving process
- Understanding of Spring Design is a plus
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, & gages
- Ability to use forklift
Key Accountabilities:
- Adjust machine(s) & related equipment during production
- Inspect parts during production
- Stop production when a quality defect is found and notify Direct Supervisor / QC
- Load wire in machines using forklift
- Implement tooling where necessary
- Identify and tag finished product
- Complete required paperwork associated with operator’s responsibilities
Experience:
- High School or equivalent (preferred)
- Metal Forming (preferred)
- Machine Shop (one year)
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings and Blueprints (one year)
Physical:
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to stand for most of Shift
- Ability to lift, bend and twist as needed
- Does not mind working in a factory setting that can sometimes be loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
