Job Summary
The Network Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the support team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of scheduling, installation and support services to our clients. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a labor plan to support the service being provided. The ideal candidate will be passionate and have a strong background in team management, excellent communication skills, project management experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise level network installations or refresh rollouts.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the field services support team to achieve performance goals and deliver high-quality service.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, provide updates, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the field services support team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and individual performance, implementing improvements as needed.
- Create and manage a labor plan forecast to provide and support daily services in addition to scheduled scaled projects.
Compliance:
- Adhere to and help enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a compliant and ethical work environment.
Resource Allocation:
- Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet service demands and deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and enhance overall efficiency.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs within the team and develop programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members for professional development.
About the Role
- Responsible for coordinating with Leadership, Project Managers, Program Managers, Vendors, Customers, Installation Technicians regarding the install of purchased tech products
- Track and assist in scheduling technicians for multiple jobs
- Ensure installation is completed within a specified time frame or be capable of meeting deadline obligations
- Reviewing and approving photos of installed equipment and materials
- Provide basic reporting recaps for all installs to ensure overall improvement in processes
- Resolve routine to complex customer problems through telephone, text, remote desktop tools, live chat, and email.
- Create and maintain a labor plan that includes forecasting and proper roles and responsibilities availability.
- Expected to create and maintain training or solution documentation.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and customer demands simultaneously
Preferred Experience
- 3 years of network administration and wireless network installation experience
- 5 years of technical support or help desk support experience
- 2-5 years of experience managing people and teams
- Experience with Google docs, spreadsheets, email and excel
- Solid computer skills and an aptitude for learning new software
- Flexibility in ability your schedule as some installations will call for an overnight shift depending on the project
