The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting position for a Representative Payee & Benefits Coordinator This position provides a complex level of coordination and support requiring judgement and discretion. The Representative Payee & Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of the people supported in Community Living Division and the coordination and maintenance of a variety of programmatic functions and benefits which are essential to the seamless operation of Community Living. This includes but is not exclusive to being the liaison to ensure entitlements for the people supported by the Community Living team.
Minimum Requirements:

Strong working knowledge of Social Security disability benefits Medical Assistance and Medicare benefits, SNAP, ABLE, the DDA waivers and other governmental benefits

Working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Proven coordination and administrative skills

Strong written grammar and attention to detail

Well organized, very flexible, and embrace the administrative challenges of supporting multiple people

Strong computer skills

Work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of relevant professional experience; OR an A.A. degree plus four (4) years of relevant professional experience; OR a high school diploma or GED equivalency plus six (6) years of relevant professional experience. 30 relevant credit hours may be substituted for one year of experience. Must also obtain certification as a SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance) & SSI (Supplemental Security Income) benefits specialist within 180 calendar days of employment with The Arc.
$44,127 - $46,361 depending on education and experience.
