Description of Position:
A fast-paced, growing, surgical office is searching for a responsible individual with great attention to detail to become a full-time Medical Assistant. The person who fills this position would be responsible for assisting the doctor in varies tasks as well as daily patient care and flow of the office.
Responsibilities:
Promptly and professionally assists the doctor in clinical duties
Perform patient workups, including charting chief complaints, visual acuity, and IOP
Use OCT cameras for diagnostic purposes
Scribe, fill prescriptions, and draw medications
Occasional single-day travel to other clinic locations (Murray, Draper, Provo, Payson, and rural sites)
Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies
Any other duties or responsibilities requested by the physicians
Maintains patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
Helpful, courteous and professional manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with total confidentiality
Beneficial Qualifications:
Fluent in a second language (Spanish is preferable)
Previous experience in a medical office
Phlebotomy certification
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
