Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst of Transportation Systems is responsible for aligning Transportation technology with the strategic long-term vision by providing the Transportation organization with effective and reliable systems that streamline workflow and provide insightful data analytics with key metrics. Essential Functions:
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engages with the senior and mid-levels of Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Care in cross functional meetings to determine the data, process and visibility that we can provide to help the organization.

Performs analysis and captures detailed requirements for new and existing systems.
- In addition to being a functional expert on the team, the position will be the liaison between transportation teams, technology teams, support teams and external vendors.

Interacts with software vendors to ensure we have the most effective use of our transportation systems while also tracking and logging vendor support tickets.

Prepares and documents system SOPs, analysis and flow charts for data transfers and workflow processes.
- Evaluates TMS solutions available in the market and compares our needs and current capabilities.

Creates new ways to utilize technology to improve customer and vendor experience.

Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
-
Strong understanding of systems design, data exchanges, testing and implementation.
- Must have a fundamental knowledge in most aspects of transportation and logistics operations such as LTL, TL, Brokerage, Intermodal and dedicated fleets.
- Must be analytical, results-oriented, self-directed, and have excellent time management skills.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to identify and resolve conflicts as well as improve processes.
- Up to 30% travel may be required.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.

A minimum of 3 years previous transportation/logistics experience.
- Experience with Manhattan TMS system is a plus.
