Description:
The High School Bible Teacher will be responsible for teaching courses in Bible. The teacher should have a strong understanding of subject specific content and instructional strategies in addition to demonstrating well developed organizational and communication skills. In addition, the teacher must be a spiritually sensitive individual who understands the mission and philosophy of the school. The teacher must be a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity in academic and leadership abilities that will enable him/her to teach God’s truth. The ability to communicate well with various types of people, handle confidential information appropriately, maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude and integrity in all situations are required.
Requirements:
Essential duties and responsibilities include teaching Bible to high school students by performing the following duties:

Instruct and engage students through lectures, discussions, using visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension.

Be passionate about preparing our students academically and in character for college and life-long success.

Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.

Carefully monitor data regarding student progress and make necessary instructional adjustments to ensure student success.

Administer tests to evaluate student progress, record results, and develop reports to inform parents of progress.

Maintain classroom standards, including keeping attendance records, ensuring discipline in the classroom, assign lessons, and correct homework in a timely manner.

Communicate regularly with families as partners in the education of their children.

Welcome opportunities and actively participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops.

Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations, assisting students in selecting course of study, and counseling for academic problems and/or adjustments.

Provide collaborative support to teachers, staff, and parents
