The learning and development coordinator and facilitator is an integral part of Step Up’s team of change architects and forward-thinking leaders. We cultivate trust and build strong foundations through care, curiosity, transparency, initiative, and courage.
Key responsibilities for the Learning & Development Coordinator & Facilitator will be:
Learning & Development Coordination (40%)
- Coordinate team calendars to schedule client meetings and workshops.

Draft and coordinate client-facing communications related to learning & development.

Manage client enrollment into Step Up’s online learning platform.

Provide technical support to clients for the online learning platform, including direct support and/or routing support requests to required team members.

Support documentation of learning & development processes.

Draft and coordinate communications with subcontractor facilitators.
Session Planning and Facilitation (40%)
- Support the development, customization, and preparation of workshops, strategy sessions, and other meetings to meet client needs in line with the Step Up brand and approach.

Co-present and co-facilitate workshops with a lead facilitator.
Business Development (20%)
- Support the creation, revisions, and sending of new and renewing business pitch decks, proposals, contracts, and scope of work documents.

Coordinate the business development workflow using Step Up’s project management platform.

Field general phone calls and email inquiries; check organization inbox regularly and track and distribute incoming and outgoing email.

Serve as office liaison to respond to external inquiries from community members and other stakeholders including partners, vendors and sponsors. Consult with staff to determine proper response and timely actions.

Attend networking events as a representative of Step Up.

Work Location & Travel Expectations
This is a remote position, with the expectation of local (Madison area) travel on at least a monthly basis, though some times of year may involve more or less travel. Occasionally, client or internal meetings may be held outside of the Madison area that require in-person attendance.
