UPP Global is a growing full-service parking management company with expertise in all verticals of parking. We are active in 9 states along the Eastern Seaboard with over 300 locations and counting! We are interviewing multiple dynamic candidates for Parking roles (Flaggers, Customer Service, Valet, and Parking Ambassadors) in Downtown Portland, ME.
Position Key Highlights:

Offering full and part-time positions and various shifts: 9am -5pm, 11am - 4pm, 11am -7am, and 4pm - 10pm.

Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Earn an average of $17.50 to $25.00 per hr. (combination of base wage, tips, and incentives). Potential for pay increase after 30 to 60 days!

These are outdoor positions with appropriate weather gear provided.
The Event Parking Attendant is responsible for greeting arriving guests, assisting them as they enter and exit the parking area, and helping them by answering questions about directions, payment info, the event they are attending, all while being professional and charming. Top-Notch guest experiences are vital to this role’s success, so going above and beyond is the expected service level. Serious applicants should be engaging, skilled service workers who possess an outgoing personality; a polished, professional demeanor, are reliable, and demonstrate an unwavering can-do attitude.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and welcome guests in an attentive, at-your-service readiness.

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients

Provide exceptional services to all guests in a confident, friendly, and efficient manner
-
Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests and parkers
-
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
-
Assist with questions about the parking lot/garage, related event which they are attending, and local area as needed

Maintain cleanliness by picking up trash, cleaning signage, and other general lot maintenance

Responsible for knowing posted signage and operating/explaining use of a payment kiosk. Knowing about the fluctuating parking rates as determined by UPP's dynamic pricing model that maximizes revenue without loss of each property's demand for parking service.

Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor

Ensure compliance with company practices and policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Must be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, running, driving and being active for most of the shift

Must provide excellent customer service, always going above the call of duty.

Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds

Must have a good work ethic and be a team player

Must maintain a groomed, professional appearance

Although not required a current drivers’ license with at least one year of driving experience preferred

Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) check if offered a role with duties of driving.
