The Distribution Team Lead is responsible for distribution efforts within assigned work area of the Distribution Center ensuring safety in execution, process compliance, and production rates. The Distribution Team Lead is also responsible for assigning work and overseeing the accurate logging of production results for assigned distribution associates.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Ensure assigned work area and daily effort is executed in a safe and organized manner

Manage daily work requirement ensuring adequate resource planning and successful accomplishment of daily goals

Create a team environment that values associates and their contributions, open communication, continuous improvement, feedback, and pride in execution

Delegate tasks and set deadlines for your team that are aligned with achievement of assigned metrics
-
Monitor team and individual performance and report potential shortfalls to warehouse management
-
Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with team to implement
-
Look for training opportunities and provide coaching to assigned associates
-
Resolve issues and conflicts and understand the “when” to escalate to supervisor
-
Coordinate with other distribution team leads to ensure all assigned metrics are on track
-
Ensure all work assignments are completed to the highest standard of quality in line with customer expectations

Provide updates to management each day on state of assigned workload
-
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
-
3-5 successful years of experience in a distribution environment with 1 year in a leadership role
-
Team Player willing to go the extra step to ensure high quality in their execution

Demonstrated safe work history and understanding of basic warehouse safety requirements

Competent PC knowledge, including, Outlook, Excel, and Word

Experience using warehouse management software including RF scanning and paperless environment - MS Nav preferred

Prompt, decisive, and clear communicator

Accountable and responsible for actions, projects, and position requirements
-
Self-driven and acts with confidence when working under own direction
-
Demonstrate an understanding of basic distribution metrics and effective ways to improve

Strong advocate for process compliance and high-quality results

Organized, self-disciplined, and able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders
