Position Summary:
The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the IT team. This role will be focused on testing enhancements and updates to the city’s online platform for affordable housing applications, which is heavily used by NYC residents. The QA Analyst should have experience designing test scenarios and writing test scripts for public facing applications and enjoy working on high profile projects that involve many groups of stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:

Create test cases for Functional, Smoke and Regression testing.

Execute test cases and report bugs clearly and accurately.

Conduct Accessibility testing.

Write automated test scripts using UFT scripting languages like VB Script or JavaScript.

Create and maintain a centralized repository of UI objects for efficient script reuse.
-
Develop keyword-driven frameworks to improve script modularity and reusability.

Run automated tests manually or automatically on different environments.

Design and execute automated tests for APIs using UFT and related tools.

Design realistic test scenarios simulating user behavior under various load conditions.

Write LoadRunner scripts using User language to simulate user actions and interactions with the application.

Run the designed test scenarios with different load levels and record performance data.

Monitor real-time metrics, analyze reports, and identify performance bottlenecks.

Collaborate with team members and developers to clarify tasks and improve the process.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5+ years of hands-on QA Analyst experience; or a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the aforementioned qualification.

Strong experience conducting both manual and automated testing, including the creation of test scripts.

Experience with testing tools such as UFT and/or LoadRunner.

Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to understand, address requirements and create test cases based on provided requirements.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively all project stakeholders and participants.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing high traffic public facing web applications

Knowledge in Testing Lifecycle and core Testing Techniques using different Test approaches, Requirements/ Functional Analysis, Test Planning, Test estimation, Test Preparation, Test Execution, Test reporting and Defect management.

Self-motivated and self-directed

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
