The front desk clerk performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping.
- Maintains office procedures and assists with administrative tasks.
- Expected to answer and triage multiple phone lines with a positive and upbeat demeanor, schedule patients for appointments for multiple providers, handle medical records and filing, and assist with administrative tasks as they arise.
- Duplicates and distributes materials as necessary.
- Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material.
- Assists patients with the use of the practice / clinic facilities or services.
- Experience collecting co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Punctuality as well as strong organizational and customer service skills are a must. Clear and articulate communication skills are also necessary for such a position, as you would be the welcoming face of the practice.
- Experience in coordination of a medspa, and/or dermatology front office is definitely a plus.
- Pay is hourly and is negotiable and based upon level of relevant experience in the field.
- Bilingual is a plus
