We are seeking an experienced manager to join our team as a Strategic Project Consultant, focused on managing cross-team efforts in support of smooth launch and operations of our literacy products. This role will be pivotal in interfacing with senior department leaders, ensuring accountability and progress across interconnected projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong executive communication skills and a proven track record in facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Experience in project and people management, as well as leadership within a department or functional area, is highly recommended. The Strategic Project Consultant will partner with the VP to lead the planning and execution efforts, manage stakeholders across departments, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration to ensure successful project delivery on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities of the Strategic Project Consultant:
Facilitate execution of cross-team commitments of a new literacy program, consisting of processes from pre-sale through technical implementation.
Facilitate scenario planning across multiple teams and process areas. This includes process design and documentation as well as risk assessment and management.
Represent product in cross functional efforts across teams including marketing, business systems, sales, customer experience, professional development, and operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Facilitate decision making, consensus-building, problem-solving, risk assessment and mitigation, and stakeholder engagement to support achieving projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the project team
Basic Qualifications of the Strategic Project Consultant:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
15+ years experience in a product development, project management, account management, professional development role, classroom teaching or similar experience with a track record of high quality results
Prior experience with Amplify literacy products
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work productively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to lead executive discussions and facilitate decisions
Proven ability to synthesize information and present to internal stakeholders
Proven ability to work through internal and customer stakeholder conflicts with professionalism
Ability to create and lead a project plan with tasks, owners, deliverables, and due dates
Proficiency with office software including Google products (docs, sheets) and Microsoft products (Excel, Word)
Ability to travel (approx 5%) to Amplify’s New York Office Headquarters for occasional workshops

The hourly rate range for this role is $90 - $120.
