The Warehouse Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming material is accurately counted, identified, documented, and stored; and to work with all company personnel to ensure quality customer service and timely deliveries. It is also to ensure that the warehouse and material is clean, organized, bin located and monitored daily for accuracy and reliability. Pulling customer orders as well as making deliveries.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Comply with all established procedures for receiving inventory.
- Examine all incoming shipments, record shortages, overages, damages, or any discrepancies on receiving documentation and obtain signature of the carrier. Identify damaged freight and communicate with credit department.
- Direct the handling and placement of material received to their proper location.
- Coordinate with the appropriate product department in the disposition of special orders. Learn and understand basic data systems functions in order to work effectively on follow-up work regarding errors, exceptions, etc.
- Preplan the receipt of incoming shipment to facilitate placement, labor and equipment required.
- Maintain a well-organized, safeguarded, clean, and bin located warehouse and yard.
- Communicate with the Purchasing Manager on potential inventory needs and gaps in fill rates.
- Monitor obsolete and slow-moving inventory and implement practices to minimize.
- Complete mandatory training courses for Warehouse Manager’s position.

- Proficiency in related applications in the WISE system
- Operate material handling equipment
