**Job Overview:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Officer to join our team. The Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, or recommending approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses. **Responsibilities:** - Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits - Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans - Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans - Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information - Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them - Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions - Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services - Maintain and update account records **Skills:** - Proficiency in 10 key typing - Knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations - Experience in financial services industry - Familiarity with FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines - Strong basic math skills for calculating ratios and percentages - Ability to perform credit analysis - Proficiency in using accounting software for financial analysis - Strong mathematical aptitude for loan processing tasks - Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable terms If you are a motivated individual with a passion for finance and helping clients achieve their goals, we encourage you to apply for the Loan Officer position.
