Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team. As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including sourcing, stock management, materials handling, and production planning. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient inventory management and optimizing supply chain operations.
Duties:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to meet company objectives
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials and maintain optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory movement and optimize replenishment processes
- Oversee the handling and storage of inventory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Implement best practices for inventory control, including proper labeling, organization, and documentation
- Train and supervise inventory staff, providing guidance on procedures and performance expectations
- Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management or related roles
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using inventory management software systems (e.g., MRP)
- Familiarity with retail management processes and procedures
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
