We are experiencing tremendous growth – over 200% within the past six-years – and we are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for one of our communities in Sacramento, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
●Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the Community
●Responsible for maintaining the grounds and assisting the Porter on a daily basis
●Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
●Responsible for securing the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every work day
●Assists in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
●Responsible for the supply and upkeep of all personal tools
●Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
●Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner
●Responsible for a 24 hour response to routine service requests
●Adheres to On Call Policy as outlined in Company Handbook
●May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies
●Responsible for weekly Light Inspections
●Responsible to lock/unlock common areas at specified operating hours
●Coordinates, schedules and prepares vacant apartments for move-in.
●Responsible for continuing upkeep of MSDS sheets
●Consistently fulfills assigned work schedule; attendance
●Maintains curb appeal of the exterior of your Community and buildings
●Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the Community or residents
●Responsible for maintaining the required community uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times
●Identifies, corrects and reports hazardous Community conditions
●Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and
Company safety policies at all times.
●Responsible for thorough knowledge of the Cannon Management Company policies outlined in the Company Handbook and Community policies
●Adheres to Company policies, rules and regulations
●Adheres to all Fair Housing Laws
●Communicates daily with Maintenance Supervisor
●Reports any employee injury to the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager immediately
●Responsible for a courteous, efficient response at all times
●Fosters a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, communities and associated agencies
●Preserves and respects resident and applicant confidentiality
●Be honest and truthful in all communications with the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
