Overview:
Frito-Lay North America, a Division of PepsiCo, is seeking qualified Engineers to execute capital projects across 35 manufacturing locations and 170 Distribution and Traffic Centers throughout the US and Canada.
These projects are essential to support both top line and bottom-line company growth and may include but are not limited to the following:

Capacity Projects – Execute engineering solutions to bring additional capacity to Frito-Lay's Service & Distribution Facilities as well as internal material handling systems. These are the modification and/or expansion of plant warehouses, pick centers, distribution centers, and traffic facilities.

Productivity Projects – Execute Service & Distribution projects that create efficiency and drive operating savings. These are automation, waste reduction, equipment reliability, and environmental sustainability projects within the Service & Distribution warehouse. Assist and execute the scope development and capital appropriations request needed in deploying pilot technologies ready to be commercialized.

Maintenance, Obsolescence, & Safety Projects – Execute and justify solutions and alternatives to sustain active systems that may have parts, service, or vendor support ending. With the rapid advancements in technology, creating change plans to avoid future downtime.
The Supply Chain Transformation Engineer Service & Distribution Engineering team manages large capital projects dedicated to automation, capacity, productivity, and maintenance. The team’s purpose is to serve our Consumers and Customers by providing Service and Distribution capacity, productivity, and maintenance solutions through capital projects and strategies that enable Supply Chain and Sales to bring Smiles to our Consumers in partnership with sites and headquarters partners.
Our objectives are to
1) Develop optimization strategy and deploy automation projects to new and legacy sites through new and existing commercialized ready now technologies.
2) Design and build plant warehouse growth enhancement and productivity projects
3) Provide warehouse capacity solutions by delivering new and expanding plant warehouses, adding dock doors, and tractor and trailer parking
4) Develop warehouse maintenance project plans and manage execution with our field partners.
Responsibilities:
A Project Manager is responsible for managing and developing the scope, cost, and schedule for capital projects (facility construction/expansion, facility infrastructure additions (utilities), associate support facilities and installation of MHE Equipment).

Define Service and Distribution and unit operation requirements for project scopes.

Develop and deliver work plans.

Lead cross-functional teams of internal partners and outside resources including vendors and consultants.

Apply engineering principles including modeling and simulation with external vendors and consultants.

Develop robust equipment installation and start-up plans.

Develop capital requirements, establish operational metrics that define total productive performance, define development and commercialization schedules.

Manage budget, schedule attainment, and achievement of project performance metrics.

Provide timely and accurate financial forecasting of project capital and expense cash flow.

Balance multiple project deliverables and competing priorities.

Manage the vendor qualification, bidding and evaluations process.

Create capital appropriation requests (CAR’s) and purchase orders to vendors.

Provide subject expertise on relevant fields.
Compensation and Benefits:
-
The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650 based on a full-time schedule.

Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.

Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
