Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Senior Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business through direct sales working with OEMs specifying STAR Plastics materials. The Senior Sales Representative must have relationships with molders and OEM's in the plastics industry.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize available resources to extend opportunities to prospects and turn prospects in to new customers in engineering resins.
- Build rapport with existing, new, and potential clients
- Expand company's market presence.
- Responsible for weekly activity report for leadership.
- Support the business with market-based needs of marketing materials.
- Showcase Star Plastics’ solutions as a strategic supplier for OEM's.
- Advance value-added services and solutions to the customer in line with Star Plastics’ offerings, including tolling services.
- Identify potential growth, opportunities for our company in new and emerging markets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-10 years of experience in direct sales in plastics
- Experience in building trusting and mutually successful client relationships
- Proven ability to set and achieve sales goals through active collaboration and ability to influence the sale
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively in order to build sales as well as strategically develop new business
- Competitive drive and entrepreneurial mindset in order to expand client base and grow the business
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a high-performance, goal-oriented, team environment
- Experience in engineering resins including PC, ABS, PCABS and Nylons.
- Technical knowledge of polymers
