Summary of Position in Organization
This role is responsible for receiving all incoming materials and goods into inventory, conducting inventory counts and maintaining stored material and goods in a clean and organized manner.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Unload product from trucks and visually inspect goods for shipping damage.
- Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure they match the purchase orders.
- Assist Quality Control with inbound quality inspections.
- Accurately receive material and goods into ERP system.
- Place product identification labels on material and place in appropriate warehouse location.
- Perform routine inventory cycle counts.
- Monitor warehouse storage locations and replenish and reorganize stock as neccessary.
- Load outgoing freight onto trucks as needed.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Act as back up to the Shipping position.
- Operate a fork-lift.
- Maintain work area in a neat, organized and clean manner at all times
Professional and Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of receiving experience.
- Possess forklift operation experience.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly and efficient receiving area.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience working with a MRP/ERP system.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Team player with good written and oral communication skills.
