Job Mission: The Inventory Data Entry Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate shipping and receiving of materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. The right candidate will have proven data entry experience in computerized inventory data management. This job will require attention to detail, the ability to organize data in an easy to follow fashion, and the ability to locate and reconcile differences in data between documents. The individual will be able to follow established processes and instruction, working accurately and efficiently, often needing to switch between multiple inventory assignments in order to ensure orders are met in a timely manner. The employee in this role must possess the ability to multitask, use spreadsheets, communicate effectively with others, and be able to produce a high volume of work under a dynamic and fast paced environment. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Inventory Data Entry Clerk Essential Functions:
- Entering and verifying the accuracy of information contained on incoming shipments documents such as bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records and signs for deliveries at receiving dock.
- Accurately entering data into spreadsheets and software such as Treez, Metrc and others
- Updating spreadsheets with costs and menu items daily
- Coordinating and printing labels to allow retail intake to receive in inventory
- Assist inventory team with gathering, reading and storing documentation of inventory including shipping manifests, invoices, counts, and other general inventory paperwork
- Communicate effectively and professionally with peers and supervisor
- May assist the inventory team to clean, stage and tag products for outgoing orders.
- Maintains a safe work area by sweeping, dusting, and removing (picking up) waste material.
- Fully complies with the company’s safety instructions and procedures, including timely reporting of any accidents, injuries or incidents involving physical injury or illness.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned and trained
Inventory Data Entry Clerk Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Education: High school or equivalent in experience
- Experience: At least 2 years experience data entry, ideally in an inventory system
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft or Google Suite, especially excel or sheets
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Precision, accuracy and ability to perform consistently to ensure accurate results
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Team player attitude with a willingness to learn
- Physical Demands:
- Requires repetitive movements with hands and fingers to type, feel, write, and move materials
- Requires prolonged sitting and standing, with occasional walking
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. daily.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
