The Job
The Corporate Development Analyst (internally known as Corporate Strategy Analyst) will support the diversification objectives of the organization by assisting in research and analyses required for strategic conversations and portfolio company support as well as related project management and execution. This position will balance the needs of delivering content to support transaction-related deliverables while managing deadlines, cross-matrixed organizational dynamics, and an environment of constant change & ambiguity. Projects will range across strategic transactions (M&A, JV, venture investments, partnerships) and portfolio operations. A primary focus of the role will be to develop and support ways to enable the team to operate efficiently with scalable processes, such as coordinating board reporting materials or advisory council sessions.
You Will
Develop strategic plans, financial projections, and executive level summary documents for use with Board and other internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on market conditions, competitors, and potential partners to inform strategic decision making.
Manage multiple (department) projects by effectively prioritizing work and communicating workload issues to management.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of key subject areas by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative disciplines such as as Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering, preferred

2+ years of previous related experience
Previous experience in investment banking, startup operations, corporate development, investing, or consulting experience preferred
Advanced MS Office skills required (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
Advanced Internet search and retrieval skills required
Ability to think critically with a bias for actionable problem solving
Ability to synthesize & understand often complicated and disparate sources of information to provide a cohesive recommendation or path forward
Comfort in dynamic, ambiguous environments
Demonstrates attention to detail and high accuracy in work product
Excellent written and communications skills
Ability to manage multiple complex and competing priorities.
