About this position
We are seeking a passionate wellness professional to provide one-on-one health behavior change interventions for our construction client partner throughout the Boston area. You will promote a healthy culture and strive to engage employees in the company's well-being offerings. This candidate will serve as a wellness ambassador and role model.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide one-to-one health coaching for employees
· Conduct in-person health risk assessments and biometric screens (training provided)
· Create and deploy health promotion, education, activities and challenges
· Work closely with safety committees, human resources representatives and foremen to provide wellness education to the population.
· Track health behavior change using proprietary health coaching software
Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal, organization and communication skills required
Ability to work autonomously, and manage multiple priorities
Experience working with clients and customers in a construction setting
Demonstrated health educator experience
Outgoing personality and ability to work with a variety of populations
Preferred:
- Experience with providing worksite wellness programs and/or wellness certification/formal training
- Knowledge of worksite wellness strategy program design and evaluation
- Trained to provide cholesterol and blood pressure screenings
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task
- Adept at counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Must have confident and effective oral and written communication skills
Qualifications and Skills
Education Requirements:
Required: BS Degree in Community Health Education or related field
This is an ONSITE role.
