Looking for an experienced preschool teacher to work with 3 and 4 year olds in a lead teacher position. Experience is required for this position working in an environment with groups of children.

This is an inclusive teaching position. We have several students with behavioral and or developmental needs in this classroom, we have a designated staff member to assist with these children's behavioral and educational plans.

- Transparent pay and benefits. Teachers without continued education and experience: $14.00/hr. Teachers with ODJFS experience for over a year: $14.75/hr. Candidates with their CDA $15.00 minimum (depending on experience).

- Free Child Development Associate's Program! All lead teachers are required to have their Child Development Associates, or be enrolled in a program within 30 days. We will walk you through the program and give you a mentor to help! It is an online program that takes between 3-12 months to complete (depending on how fast you want to finish the program). We pay for all costs! Once you finish this program, we will give you a raise (4%) and a $500 bonus. It also opens you up to advancement in the company!
Your Role:
- You will provide care in a team-teaching environment for children
- We will assist you in learning all ODJFS and program regulations. You must uphold these at all times.
- You will assist in planning and doing fun activities that are age appropriate and engaging!
- You will build strong relationships with parents and co-workers.
- You will work a 9:00am to 6:00pm shift during the initial training period, and then move to a shift starting around 8:00 ending around 5:00, with occasional after-hours meetings or training days. Shift may change based on the needs of the program.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old (state requirement)
- Must have a minimum of a GED or High School diploma (state requirement)
- You must pass all state and federal background checks.
- You must be able to bend, walk, lift (up to 50lbs), sit on the floor, stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- You must be willing to obtain your CDA
- You must have experience working with groups of children, preferably in a licensed childcare facility.
Benefits
- You will receive a $500 bonus after your first 90 days.
- Employees receive a minimum of 7 paid holidays a year (this year it is 10!)

- After their first 90 days, employees will receive (in weekly increments) up to 40 hours of paid vacation time, 80 hours of sick time, and additional time off for some circumstances. After your first year, you will receive additional amounts of sick and personal time. We also offer an additional 40 hours of unpaid sick time, 40 hours of unpaid sick time, and 24 hours of unpaid mental health time each year after their first 90 days. During your first 90 days you are given 16 hours of unpaid leave per month, and after that you must submit a medical excuse for additional absences.
- We offer a "time off" buyback program that will be explained during your orientation. Take less time off, get paid more!
- We offer supplementary insurance through AFLAC. We hope to offer some sort of medical reimbursement in the next few years.
