Position Overview:
Extreme Martial Arts is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Sales Associate to spearhead our outreach efforts and drive enrollment growth. This role involves engaging with the community at events and booths, enrolling prospects into students through tours and lessons. The ideal candidate will be adept at marketing, sales, handling financial transactions, managing leads (contact information), and communicating effectively both in person and in writing. This position is key to our marketing strategy, ensuring a seamless experience for potential students from their first interaction to their enrollment, while upholding the values and standards of Extreme Martial Arts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing:
Be a friendly face at local events & booths here in the area
Set appointments and collect leads at events and booths\
Extreme Martial Arts Tour (Sales):
If needed you will be able to take a prospective student through a tour of our facility, show them what they will be learning and ask them to get started, handling the initial payment.
Data Management:
Regularly update and maintain Google Spreadsheets to ensure daily tracking of your leads if needed.
A Day in the Life: Sales and Marketing Associate
Your day will kick off by preparing for upcoming events and booths. You will ensure that all equipment is ready and that you have all the necessary materials. Once on-site, you will engage with potential clients using what we give you and teach you to attract new people to you.
If they are interested you will confidently ask for their contact information and set up a semi-private lesson for them to come out to our facility to try out a lesson .If needed you will be able to provide an introductory tour and lesson to turn prospects into enrolled students by giving them a tour, showing them what they will be learning and asking them for the tuition to get started.
After the event you will transition to logging data from the day’s interactions, updating appointment books, and tracking leads in spreadsheets. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that no lead goes untracked and that all follow-up actions are recorded accurately.
You will also collaborate with other staff members that will be taking the leads and appointments.

Qualifications & Attributes:
Marketing & Sales Experience:
Comfortable asking people for their contact information at booths and events here in New Braunfels and the surrounding areas.
Capable of setting up a booth and taking care of the equipment needed.
Capable of conducting the introductory tour and lesson, turning prospects into enrolled students. (We will teach you this.)
Comfortable handling payments and financial transactions.
Ability to handle objections and answer questions regarding memberships, pricing, and policies. (We will teach you this.)
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal communication skills for marketing and sales.
Strong written communication skills for handling emails, texts, and logging data.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to learn and adapt to new digital tools or software that might be introduced.
Detail-Oriented:
Accurate data logging and tracking in spreadsheets.
Diligent about noting and updating appointment books and lead trackers after events/booths.
Time Management:
Efficient in juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing duties.
Punctual and reliable.
Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented:
Demonstrates a drive to meet and exceed set targets and objectives.
Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement or ways to surpass goals.

Acknowledgment that the role doesn't require a martial arts background and that there are specific classes that they could attend if they wish to participate. As long as the class time doesn’t interfere with with hitting the goals of the position.

Certifications are not required but it would be a bonus if they had any of the following kind of certs. First-Aid Certification, CPR Certification, Customer Service Training/Certification, Sales Training/Certification, Marketing Training/Certification, Conflict Resolution or Communication Workshops.
Benefits & Compensation:
Position Type: We are looking to fill a long-term In-Person Event & Booth Marketing and Sales position. Specific compensation details will be discussed in person.
Flexible Schedule: 20hrs/week. This job requires a variety of hours ranging from mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends for the simple fact that events and booths here in New Braunfels and nearby areas take place all different days and hours.
Complimentary Classes: All employees receive free access to martial arts and gymnastics classes for themselves and their immediate household members.
Paid Time Off: Salaried employees are entitled to 10 days of paid vacation or sick leave annually.
Reduced Workweeks: Throughout the year, there are four weeks with a limited schedule. During these weeks, employees are only expected to fulfill 30% of their regular work hours. Some of these hours may potentially be fulfilled outside the dojo, depending on current dojo activities and requirements. However, it's not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. This is in addition to the 10 paid days off.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
