Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Classification: Non-exempt
Department: Operations
Reports to: Customer Service Lead
Position Summary
The purpose of the Customer Service Representative role is to make outbound and take inbound phone calls from customers, answer questions, process supplements, and handle level 1 support. The CSR is the frontline support and service for SettlementOne Data customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with support associated with SettlementOne Data
- Answer general billing questions
- Support client questions pertaining to credit reports as well as compliance mandates
- Maintain up to date knowledge of bureau compliance requirements as they pertain to new account credentialing and current clients
- Process credit supplements and provide status updates
- Process customer Tax Return Verification requests
- Act as a sales agent for incoming prospective clients
- Assist in a variety of projects on an as needed basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Must have at least 2 years of customer service related duties
- Previous experience working with consumer credit reports strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to analyze and resolve routine customer service related issues of diverse scopes
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in person and by telephone
- Must have the ability to interpret and communicate detailed product information
- Need to be an outgoing individual with an assertive yet supportive skill set

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
