Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Accounting Assistant at Benefit Business Consulting. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our clients with their day-to-day accounting operations. This includes processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. Approximately 10 hours per week with potential for more hours as client base continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices and expense reports
- Reconcile invoices and monthly vendor statements and identify discrepancies
- Apply cash receipts and record bank transfers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide administrative support to the firm as needed
- Handle communication between firm and its clients
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple clients
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or 2+ years related experience
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Teams, Quickbooks Online, and PDF editors
- Must have own computer and at least 2 monitors
