Job Title: Insurance Broker
Overview:
Our rapidly growing, privately-owned company is seeking a well-rounded Insurance Broker to liaise with insurance companies. The successful candidate will use various methods to network and cultivate policies that fit our company's needs, keeping them up to date in our fast-paced, highly acquisitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance brokerage, negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting. Experience with Multifamily Residential Real Estate is a must. This position offers significant potential for professional growth, experience, exposure, and compensation.
The Insurance Broker will be responsible for identifying and organizing suitable insurance coverage for our business. This role includes researching policies from different insurers, negotiating policy terms and costs, renewing or amending existing policies, and preventing monetary loss by acquiring appropriate coverage. The broker will also support our executive team in understanding policy benefits and advising on claims.
Objectives of the Role:
- Research policies from different insurance carriers.
- Negotiate the best deals with new providers or existing ones.
- Prepare reports, schedule, and attend meetings.
- Negotiate policy terms and costs with insurance carriers.
- Renew or amend existing policies.
- Prevent monetary loss by acquiring appropriate coverage for company needs.
- Recommend the most suitable policies for company needs.
- Clarify terms and conditions of policies by providing clear and concise information.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Accomplished communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Excellent salesperson with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar or related field.
- Excellent network and good standing relationships with lenders.
- Capable of working individually as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledgeable in all types of insurance plans related to multifamily residential and single-family homes.
- Experience in delivering executive-level results.
- Valid license to practice profession.
- Ability to keep detailed computer records.
- Ability to thoroughly advise on making claims.
- Help the company articulate current or future insurance requirements.
