The Engage Therapist II – PT/PRN works both independently and as a member of a team. The position will also work as part of a coordinated specialty care team for youth and young adults who are experiencing FEP. The incumbent has the ability to support family members through ongoing collaboration, coordination with schools, colleges, and universities, as well as organizations and community groups outside of behavioral health.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field with appropriate licenses
OR
· Psychiatric Nurse with appropriate licenses
Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in social services, working with either adolescents and/or transition age population.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
· Act 33/34 Clearances
· FBI Clearance
· Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
· Access to properly insured motor vehicle for client transportation and fieldwork and a safe driving record
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Exhibits ethical business behavior and maintains confidentiality of information and compliance as required by WFS policy.
· Ability to exhibit cultural sensitivity and to contribute to a work environment where diversity is welcomed and supported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Systematically screens consumers for depression and unhealthy substance use, using evidenced-based screening instruments that are appropriate for the population.
· Uses a variety of educational materials, brief intervention techniques, and community resources to engage and increase consumer motivation, as well as to manage their chronic behavioral and medical conditions.
· Utilizes standardizes intervention techniques and community resources to support consumers in achieving their goals.
· Promotes shared decision-making and supervises a team of specialists who work with consumers to create personal treatment plans.
· Establishes a relapse prevention plan and a follow-up schedule with the consumers, monitoring consumer’s progress throughout the maintenance phase.
· Clearly and effectively communicates with the Collaborate Care Team and specialty providers via written, electronic, and oral reports. The use of recovery mapping is encouraged.
· Maintains an accurate and up-to-date registry of all consumers.
