SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician 2 will repair and maintain the facility and production equipment at Creation Everett. The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for performing the full range of duties as assigned. The Maintenance Technician 2 must be able to carry out verbal and written instructions for performing various tasks around the facility. Employees at this level receive general instruction or assistance and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. ITAR clearance required. Included, but not limited to, are the following responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee shall follow proper Electro Static Discharge (ESD) procedures and be knowledgeable of and perform their job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelines

Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures

Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required
-
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform preventive maintenance actions as required
-
Maintain all equipment necessary to perform work
-
Work with manufacturing equipment suppliers for maintenance and repair of equipment during warranty and post warranty

Able to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues as needed
-
May provide work leadership to lower level personnel

Evaluate requests for repair
-
Act as liaison with outside contractors

Perform training as required
-
Ensure that equipment is operational for operators
-
Provide snow clearing and ice treatment services during business hours as required

Able to perform Maintenance 1 and Facility Technician duties as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-
Associate degree (A.A.) (electrical controls and circuitry) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
-
2-4 years’ related facility maintenance experience including practical knowledge of maintenance trades
-
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Manufacturing environment experience preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Able to read electrical schematics and/or technical drawings is preferred

Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong customer service focus

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be able to read, write, and speak English

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. The employee may also be required to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently. The employee is subject to a normal office and shop environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $28 to $30 per hour. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
