Corporate Controller
Entrepreneurial manufacturing company in Cleveland, Ohio has an opening for a Corporate Controller. This position oversees the financial and accounting functions of the company, including internal and external reporting, budget management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial analysis, and internal audits. Responsibilities:
- Identify and highlight areas of process improvements to enhance the profitability of the business
- Simplify and automate accounting process flows and reporting
- Provide financial advice to the leadership team regarding manufacturing cost through the study of financial data
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and operational budgets and actual expenditures
- Prepare month-end closings, financial forecasts, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and file the quarterly and annual external financial reports timely
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, fixed assets, depreciation, and operating expenses
- Implement process improvements surrounding customer disputes and penalties
- Maintain daily cash management and debt borrowings
- Maintain and develop product cost models
- Prepare reports for banks and board meetings
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including familiarity with SEC reporting
- 5 years of management experience in area of accounts receivables, accounts payables and general ledger in a manufacturing company
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Must be a results-oriented, strategic thinker with a keen sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels
- Leadership capabilities with a process improvement mindset
- Ability to delegate, supervise, teach, manage, and coach employees.
- Analytical & organized with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,549.00 - $135,000.00 per year
