Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Mid to Senior level Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in driving our project success across a range of sectors, including multifamily, affordable housing, commercial office, retail TIs, highrise, and midrise. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in electrical design to create effective and sustainable solutions, with a focus on integrating energy-efficient designs and ensuring compliance with local codes and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.
- Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
- Application of electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design
- Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
- Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
- Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection
- Perform site visits and issues reports
- Develop project specifications and perform site evaluations.
- Attend meetings with clients and project teams.
- Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specifications
- Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.
- Engage in the development of tools and templates.
- Contribute to the growth and management of the electrical department.
- Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to quality control processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Expert knowledge of NEC, Washington State, and Seattle codes.
- PE license is preferred.
- LEED AP is preferred.

You will generally be expected to be available during core business hours of 10-3, but we allow you to flex your time forward or back as needed.
While we are fully remote now, we are seeking individuals located in the Seattle area to support in-person meeting attendance as needed, and long term, we intend to grow to have a physical office in Seattle and would like to develop a high-impact hybrid approach.
