Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in various dance styles, developing their skills, and fostering a love for dance. Duties:
- Teach dance classes to students of all ages and skill levels
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- Choreograph routines for performances and competitions
- Lead warm-up exercises, stretches, and conditioning activities
- Demonstrate proper dance techniques and movements
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage student behavior effectively during classes
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan events and performances
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students in a dance setting
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in ballet, as well as other dance styles such as jazz, tap, contemporary, or hip-hop
- Ability to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students at different skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching dance
- Ability to manage behavior effectively in a classroom setting
- Experience choreographing routines for performances or competitions is preferred
